More financing confirmed for "Nora's Ark"

Nordnorsk Filmsenter supports the animated short “Nora’s Ark”.

The film is a modern Noah’s Ark story where climate change is causing the flood that Noah must sav the animals from. His daughter Nora wants to bring all her small insect friends, but Noah doesn’t want such “pests” onboard his ship. This starts a deep conflict between father and daughter and threatens not only their relationship, but also the small eco-system they are trying to create.

Nordnorsk Filmsenter’s consultant Anna Svensson has decided to support the production with NOK 520 00 kroner and gives the film and production praise in her press release.

Norwegian Film Institute announced it’s support for the film last December.

The film will be director Endre Lund Eriksen’s first animated short film. Linde Faas is the art director.

New documentary with animated scenes

Fabelfjord has developed the animations for the new documentary series “Dyrevenn”, now screening at NRK TV and NRK Super.

The documentary series is directed by Fabelfjord’s Endre Lund Eriksen and tell stories about warm and strong friendships between children and their animals. The episodes combine new footage with personal photos, mobile phone videos, reconstructed scenes - and some animated scenes, trying to see the story from the point of view of the animals.

Fabelfjord developed the animated parts of the series, bringing together a team consisting of designer Bård Sletvold Torkildsen and animator Isak Gjertsen. Isak single handedly did the animatics, rigged and animated all characters and composited it all together in the end. Director Endre scripted, directed and supervised.

In addtion to the animated scens, Thomas Berg from Hai Five did the graphics and put together the opening title, consisting of animations from the episodes.

Andreas Wangsbro did the sound design for the animations and made the title music.

The series is produced by NRK Nord in Tromsø for NRK Super.

JAAA! Dunder fikk pris!
